Current Concepts in Feline Chronic Kidney Disease

Speaker:

Dr. Susan Little [Specialist in Feline Medicine]

Chronic kidney disease affects at least 1/3 of senior cats and can present complex diagnostic and management issues. IRIS staging is an important part of diagnosis in these patients and can help determine a treatment plan. Tools for early diagnosis are now accompanied by a wider range of therapeutic diets designed for different stages of CKD. This presentation will focus on an evidence-based medicine approach to screening, staging, and evaluation of the treatments available with the goal of earlier diagnosis and management.
